Art Film by ANTON SAKARA
Adoration
About
Art film was created as an homage to Danish-Norwegian sculptor Stephan Sinding and his work «Adoration» made in 1910. Duration of 40 seconds, including soundtrack.

This film was inspired by my wife and art work created by sculptor Stephan Sinding "Adoration". It reveals and uncovers some deeper veils of passion that a man may contain inside and feel towards a woman. The original sculpture is showing a man bowed down in front of a calmly sitting woman, his lips are gently touching her legs. She is not showing any superiority but at the same time looking self-confident and grateful.

I've put this sculpture composition to a mountain landscape during sunset. It's a giant size and made of old rocks, it looks like being made by a human and the nature together. Bird flocks flying by and a bunch of pine trees are to maintain the scale of the composition. On top of the woman's head there is a nest with a stork bird it is symbolising woman's ability to bring new generations of people to the world.

Art film is tokenised in a limited amount of copies. It's intended to be a personal gift to a chosen woman or a man showing passion and adoration to a unique person.

Stephan Abel Sinding (1846 – 1922) was born in Norway. He created a number of sculptures, among others Mother in Captivity, which won him the Grand Prix at the Exposition Universelle (1889), Adoration (1910), and Young woman at her husband's body. Many of Sinding's sculptures are credited to realism, but many considered much more in the style of Symbolism. An example of his symbolic work is his sculpture Valkyrjen, a bronze cast of which stands in Churchill Park in Copenhagen.
